Abilisoft Becomes Member of ICSPA to Support Coordinated Fight Against Cybercrime

Founded in 2010, the ICSPA is a business-led organisation comprising large national and multi-national companies who recognise the need to assist law enforcement officers around the world, in their fight against cybercrime. With the Rt Hon David Blunkett MP as a director of the board, and with a personal endorsement from Prime Minister Cameron, the ICSPA aims to enhance the online safety and security of business communities, by helping to deliver resources and expertise from the private sector to support both domestic and international law enforcement agencies in their task of reducing harm from cybercrime. This will include raising public sector funding from Governments and Institutions that wish to increase the capacity and capability of cybercrime units in countries which face the greatest challenges.

Abilisoft brings to the table its latest innovation; Abilisoft SIEM (security information and event management), which equips businesses with real-time threat analysis and rapid automated resolution. At the heart of Abilisoft SIEM, cutting-edge agent technology installs seamlessly into the existing environment, proactively gathering all security events as they happen. Abilisoft translates the security events into a common language, assigns a threat level and feeds them into an analysis engine. The engine rapidly processes and filters the mass of events that have been generated by applying correlation and stepped rules which identify the different types of attack. Business context information is added to determine the true risk to the organisation and to prioritise the corrective action required. Abilisoft SIEM incorporates rapid automated resolution, enabling organisations to immediately overcome security breaches in real-time.

John Lyons, ICSPA’s Chief Executive, commented; "The ICSPA is a unique initiative, combining business expertise and resources to work closely with Governments. Abilisoft joins us at a very exciting time, and is in good company with existing members that include companies such as McAfee and Visa. I am particularly pleased that under the leadership of their Chairman, Andy Onacko, Abilisoft has recently introduced to the market some unique cost-effective security event management solutions to help combat the now very serious threat posed by organised criminal groups on the Internet targeting major multi-national enterprises. We look forward to working with Abilisoft in the months and years ahead."

Mark Cowan, CEO at Abilisoft, added; "As cybercrime continues to grow and security breaches become increasingly sophisticated, organisations must invest wisely in the latest technology to protect their assets. We are delighted to be part of this thought-leading collaboration."
